THE ULTIMATE DESTINATION TO LIVE, WORK, PLAY
Altair is a new £70 million residential and lifestyle Quarter in the heart of Altrincham Town Centre. It lies on a 4.5-acre site at the junction between Moss Lane and Oakfield Road and is adjacent to the tram, train and bus Interchange connecting it with Manchester City Centre and beyond.
Altair has been conceived and delivered by regeneration experts Nikal in partnership with Trafford Council and features architecture by esteemed Manchester practice Stephenson Studio.
Altair is a dramatic and complementary addition to Altrincham’s evolving townscape and symbolises its rebirth as a top destination for living, shopping, eating out, entertainment and business.
The new Quarter will be delivered in three Phases, the first of which involves the creation of a landmark new apartment building; Altair One. This iconic new building will provide 59 high quality one and two bedroom apartments and penthouses along with a beautiful boutique hotel style entrance and communal spaces and a stunning private residents’ roof garden.
Phase Two sees the heart of Altair take shape and Nikal’s plans include the construction of four strikingly original contemporary style buildings which will offer further high quality residential accommodation as well as versatile leisure retail and Grade A office space.
Eighty-five one, two and three bedroom apartments are planned (subject to a reserved matters application) along with 45,000 sq ft of leisure retail space and 20,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation.
Surrounding the buildings will be a stunning new public realm. This central boulevard will link the new Quarter directly to the Transport Interchange as well as provide an attractive outdoor environment in which residents, workers, shoppers and diners can relax and socialise.
Subject to a planning application, the third phase of Altair sees the delivery of a state-of-the-art new leisure centre for the town and further high quality Grade A office accommodation.
