Since competing for, and being awarded, the opportunity to develop Altair, we have been working very closely with Trafford Borough Council to match their expectations with our vision and together produce what will be a dynamic new living and lifestyle destination at the heart of our great town centre.
From the beginning, we’ve had a fantastic team on board who have adapted to the evolving requirements but always stayed loyal to the ultimate goal; to produce a high quality new neighbourhood where people can live, work and thrive. We thought you might like to meet some of them…
Keith Hamilton – Partner, Stephenson STUDIO
Keith is the lead architect on Altair and, working closely with Nikal Group Design Director James Payne, created the concept for the new Quarter. As well as considering the overall appearance of the scheme and how it integrates into the town centre, Keith played a big role in designing the fantastic boutique hotel style interiors and rooftop garden – all to give Altair One the ultimate ‘WOW’ factor!
Stephenson STUDIO is an established and well-respected Manchester based practice that works globally on significant new urban development projects. Managing Partner is acclaimed architect Roger Stephenson who was awarded an OBE in 2001 for his services to excellence in architecture.
Favourite Altair feature: “Altair will provide a new gateway to the town centre for those accessing it by public transport or from the established residential areas on the Eastern side. What was once an uneven, pot-hole-riddled car park will become an exciting new place for people to live, work, prosper and socialise.”
Simone Milner – Sales Manager, Hillcrest Homes
Simone is the key contact for customers at Hillcrest. She guides them from initial enquiry through to reservation and final completion and helps them make selections on kitchen and bathroom finishes as well as handling any bespoke requests.
Simone keeps customers updated on a developments progress and arranges visits to site to see the development take shape. She’s an Altrincham resident and a big foodie so can often be found hanging out at the Market Hall at weekends.
Favourite Altair feature: “I love the residents rooftop garden; it’s a fantastic addition to the scheme and the perfect place to get together with friends before you head out for something to eat.”
Adam Ravenscroft – Branch Manager, Gascoigne Halman
Adam and his team at Gascoigne Halman Altrincham have been involved in Altair for a very long time and helped influence some of the most important design decisions by providing valuable insight into exactly what local homebuyers are looking for in a new home.
This information helped the design team make important decisions on the types of apartments offered, the layouts and the final specification for the scheme to ensure Altair provided exactly what many buyers wanted.
Favourite Altair feature: “The fantastic location – right next door to the Transport Interchange – is a winner for us. It makes it so easy to travel to or from the scheme on public transport. Altair will also be the first thing anyone sees when they pass through on the train – it will be a tempting invitation to come and explore everything our great town has to offer.”
